Live Journal [26.10.2002]
I'm getting sick of my inability to update this without ftp. I know that it's a silly whine, but I much prefer using programs. The "on topic" news is that I've got a brand spanking new tiny place on the net, JainieG was a sweetheart and hooked me up with a Live Journal Account. There's not much there right now, just some fiction recommendations, but it's good to have. In other news, I'm going over to mr. monkeybottoms' house tomorrow to help her with her website. How cool is that?
Better Buffy Fics [14.07.2002]
I'm updating my links once again to add the archive to Better Buffy Fic's new archive. In the meantime, I've noticed that I've been posting enough on my message boards that I automatically start to type [url=] and then need to go back and fix that. Oops. Let me also add a super cool, super searchable site the Buffy Fiction Archive. It's oh so pretty, and very clever.
Read all about it [25.05.2002]
Cindell's back in town :) Well, not my town, but her town, and with a computer again. So, in her honour, I'm adding a few links for getting updated with what's been going on with BtVS and Ats this season. Check out the menu for Studies in Words, the best place for Shooting Scripts and Transcripts, as well as Buffy World, another great Transcripts source.
Potluck Orgies [24.04.2002]
Added a page to explain how to get into our irc chats (link removed 02.10.2002 until chats are public again.)
Reading on the Bus [23.04.2002]
I had bought a palm pilot last summer when I had a fair bit more money than I do now; the version I have was on sale and had rebates because it was being replaced with a newer model. At the time, I used it a fair bit, but what with my computer problems and the move to a new apartment, I hadn't touched it since around October. I finally pulled it out again a few days ago, and I've been in the process of making it fun and useful again. Most useful to note, on this site at least, is the wonderful ability to put fanfiction on my palm pilot so I can read while curled up in bed or while I'm bored on the bus. To create the edocs, I use a program called MobiPocket Publisher and to read them, I use MobiPocket Reader. I like this particular setup, as opposed to the one I used last summer with makedocw and tealdoc because I can merge a whole list of files into one big linked book and retain the author's html.
Exit Links [22.04.2002]
I added some outside links to the Exit menu and played around with some others. I especially recommend the message boards (not new links) JM.com and The Big Bad Board. For wildfeeds (early airings of the episodes, but I specifically mean the typed previews), check out LeoffOnline for his BtVS rundowns, and Angel's Acolyte for their amazing Ats summaries.
Authoring Tutorial [22.04.2002]
Anyone want to check out my lame tutorial for those who want to create a web page for displaying your fiction? It's a work in progress, so give me some leeway.
Or, you can just ask me to create you a little corner. You can have your own name, and everything, something like [http://author.freehosting.net]. Or, you could just ignore me.
Footer [07.04.2002]
I rediscovered trillian, an online messenger that connects aim, icq, irc, msn, and yahoo. To celebrate it's discovery, and that of some online status indicators, I have added a footer to the page.
Highlights [14.03.2002]
Edited the recs some more. Put in [A+]s for my most favorite and the most talented authors.
Addictive [14.03.2002]
I added some new authors to the recs section, most noteably mikelesq and Anna S (Buffy Season Noir). Definitely two of the best BtVS writers out there.
Version 1.0 [02.03.2002]
Freeservers, which I generally love, has decided to make ftp a for-fee service. While I understand their need, it completely ruins my ability to blog. I'm too lazy to design a new layout right now, so I'm trying to adapt it to fit.
It's highly unlikely that you've surfed in from some place that isn't Buffy the Vampire Slayer or James Marsters related, since that's where I'm using this web id. I wanted to create a nice safe home for myself, where I can update at my leisure and put up things of my own interest.
